"The smartphone I'm using suddenly broke down one day."
I think there are many people who are horrified just by thinking about it. It is recommended that you keep your smartphone data as a backup as often as possible in case of an emergency.
This time, I will show you how to back up your iPhone. You can also make a backup on a Windows PC, so let's check it.
How to make iPhone backup on Windows PC
To make a backup of your iPhone on your Windows computer, you must first install iTunes on your Windows computer. Install it from the "Windows Store" app store and log in with the Apple ID you use on your iPhone.
After installing iTunes on your Windows computer, connect your iPhone to your Windows computer using a cable. When connecting for the first time, the message "Do you trust this computer?" Appears on the iPhone screen. Tap "Trust" and enter the iPhone passcode.
A pop-up will appear on your Windows computer asking "Do you want to allow this computer to access the information on your" iPhone "?", Click "Continue".
If you connect your iPhone to your Windows computer using the above steps, it will be automatically backed up during the cable connection. You can also create a backup manually, so I will explain the procedure from here.
Click the iPhone icon displayed on iTunes on your Windows computer.
Click "Overview" from the tab on the left. Check "This computer" in the "Backup" section and click "Backup Now".
A new popup will appear. If you encrypt the backup, you can also create a backup of sensitive information such as passwords, so this time click "Encrypt backup" to proceed.
You can create a password to protect your backup, so enter any alphanumerical characters and click Set Password.
Now you have created a backup of your iPhone on your Windows computer.

How to backup iPhone data to iCloud
Next, how to back up iPhone data to "iCloud". Data can be saved in the cloud without a personal computer, making it an easy way to use.
The free iCloud storage capacity is up to 5GB per Apple ID, and if you want to store more data, you need to subscribe to the paid "iCloud +".
For iCloud +, the 50GB plan is 130 yen / month, the 200GB plan is 400 yen / month, and the 2TB plan is 1300 yen / month. In addition to 50GB (200GB for family plan) iCloud storage, "Apple One" that can use Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, and Apple Music is available for 1100 yen / month (1850 yen / month for family plan).
In order to back up your iPhone data to iCloud, you first need to connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi.
After connecting to Wi-Fi, tap "Username" from the "Settings" app on your iPhone. Then tap "iCloud".
A list of apps that can create backups is displayed in iCloud, so check the apps for which you want to save data. Especially for those who do not subscribe to iCloud +, it is difficult to make a backup of all data, so it is recommended to uncheck unnecessary apps.
Go to "iCloud Backup" and check "iCloud Backup" at the top. Then tap "Create Backup Now" at the bottom to back up your iPhone data to iCloud.
I introduced that there is an upper limit to the storage capacity of iCloud that can be used with one Apple ID for each plan, but if it is an iPhone equipped with "iOS 15", it will be temporarily when changing models. You can use iCloud storage unlimitedly.
Open "General" in the "Settings" app and go to "Transfer or Reset iPhone". Select Start to get free / unlimited iCloud storage for up to 21 days.
