The company's enhanced US Open Tennis Championships app and US Open.org tools will give fans a wealth of new information about matches and players. To achieve this functionality, the company has developed "IBM Power Rankings with Watson" and "Match Insights with Watson" that run on "IBM Cloud."

Match Insights with Watson uses AI and natural language processing (NLP) to provide fans with data on all 254 singles matches in the championship. Power Rankings with Watson and Match Insights with Watson will also be featured on ESPN's and the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) daily television show, The Changeover.

Kirsten Corio, managing director of USTA ticket sales and digital strategy, has partnered with IBM to reach millions of fans around the world watching the championship at the venue or watching it on television. He said it would be able to provide advanced data-driven insights.

"With IBM Cloud behind the scenes, we're strengthening remote operations, new features that will continue to innovate over the years, and the US Open digital properties to bring this championship to the world. You have the flexibility and security capabilities to ensure the smooth operation of your cloud. "(Corio)

"Power Rankings with Watson" is a tool that tries to find out what kind of battle this time will be based on the player's performance over the past year. IBM says it will update this information daily.

These new features include Likelihood to Win, Ones to Watch, Upset Alerts, percentages, odds, and more. It is full of information to do.

Some tools like "Ones to Watch" have been around for some time. IBM said it used the "Ones to Watch" feature at the 2021 Wimbledon Championship to see the potential for Matteo Berrettini to make a leap forward. The player made it to the finals.

IBM is also working with the USTA to develop the first fantasy sport in the tennis world. As a fantasy team, enthusiastic tennis fans will be able to form a team of four favorite male players and a team of four female players. Players can be changed until the start of the 4th round of the tournament. Users will then earn points for winning matches, service ace, and breaks.

Noah Syken, vice president of sports and entertainment partnerships at IBM, said IBM went entirely online on what fans want and how technology can help them play games of this size. He states that he learned from the tournament of the year.
