The first photo exhibition of great success
Last time, I introduced from the encounter with Kome Kome Club to the making of works, but this time I would like to talk about the history of the photo exhibition with them.
The first photo exhibition with Kome Kome Club was in 1988. It was a Kodak photo salon in Ginza. Both have disappeared, but it was near Printemps Ginza. At this time, I simply arranged only the ones I took without processing. The Kome Kome Club was selling well, so Kodak immediately held a photo exhibition. As the Kome Kome Club came to the opening party, the police couldn't fit in.

We received so many festive flowers that we couldn't fit in the venue. Many of the current photo exhibitions refrain from celebrating flowers, but that was the beginning of this photo exhibition. The first photo exhibition was a great success.
The name "KAO'S" that Mr. Ishii came up with from the photo exhibition at that time is included. I think this is a combination of multiple faces, "face's" and "chaos", but I think it has become a good name that will continue forever.
Speaking of 1988, I remember shooting the visuals of Kome Kome Club's fourth album "GO FUNK" in New York. It was a really difficult site because I took pictures of many members while traveling to various places in New York.
However, rather than taking a close look at one thing, I'm good at making quick images on-site and immediately shooting "this is the lens" and "this is the lighting", so I was able to shoot with satisfaction. I especially like this one taken in front of the Statue of Liberty. I think I took a good shot on a swaying ship (laughs).
